What character in Greek mythology fights with self demons?

I want to say Hercules or Lamia. Hercules did have some madness issues when he killed his family and Lamia was driven with grief when Hera killed all her children, making her eat other childs and grow into a hideous monster. But I'd have to say Lamia for this.
